Gendarmerie finds "signs" of youngsters missing in Veracruz

Officers of the National Gendarmerie and the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Veracruz reported that they found signs of the whereabouts of five young people who disappeared on January 11.

In a press release and without pointing out at a specific place, the authorities reported that an investigation conducted in a remote area allowed them to obtain information related to the missing kids.

However, they added that all the collected data must be evaluated to determine its relationship with the five youngsters who were last seen in the hands of State Police officers.

The report added that the investigations will continue.

So far, the police officers involved in their disappearance have been arrested, as well as a local gang leader presumably involved in it and other crimes.
