Four-alarm fire in Houston apartments

Houston fire officials battled a four-alarm blaze in the 6400 block of Westheimer, at the Palms on Westheimer apartment complex.

Officials received the call at around 3:15 p.m. with a report of a fire at the Palms. The fire was upgraded from three alarms to four alarms at 4 p.m. The blaze was tapped out at 6:23 p.m.

About 36 units were affected by the fire.

Officials with American Red Cross were dispatched to the scene to help displaced residents.

According to fire officials, there is no word of injuries. An investigation is under way.
