Popocatépetl spews 37 low-intensity exhalations

According to the last report of the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 37 low-intensity exhalations and also 17 explosions during the last 24 hours.

Low-amplitude harmonic tremor totaling 101 minutes and a volcano-tectonic earthquake of Mc.1.7 were reported.

Incandescence over the crater was observed yesterday at night.

An emission of steam and gas heading to the east-southeast was observed today morning.
