Mexico City mayor released after minor surgery

The mayor of Mexico City, Miguel Ángel Mancera Espinosa, underwent an elbow surgery this morning and had been released from the hospital.

The surgery was carried by a sport orthopedist, according to a report from the Government of Mexico City.

Mancera had his carpal extender repaired and an arthroscopic intervention on the right elbow, due to some exercise injuries. The mayor is now resting in his residence.

Yesterday afternoon Mancera reported the new surgery, which was to be performed exactly a year after he had to be subjected to an open heart operation.
