Actor Germán Robles dead after 12 days in the hospital

Actor Germán Robles died this morning after 12 days in a hospital for a pulmonary disease and his funerals will be held this afternoon.

In an interview with Notimex, theatrical producer Rafael Perrín confirmed the death of the actor at 6:00 a.m., after being hospitalized for colon problems complicated with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

He pointed out that his son Pablo Robles and his wife Ana María were at his bedside.

Robles' funerals will be held this afternoon just a few days after the inauguration of a cultural center that bears his name.

Perrín had a long-standing friendship with the actor and produced the play "The lady in black," which Robles had been starring for more than a decade.
