The Governor of the State of Michoacán, Silvano Aureoles, expressed that intelligence labors have detected 12 criminal cells, which in some cases are already working in the state and in others are currently trying to enter the region, mainly in the birder areas with the state of Jalisco.
But, he said that he is not afraid of a resurgence of cartels in the state because the new strategy of the federal government has increased the patrol operations in the border areas of the state.
Aureoles also reiterated the ultimatum to the armed groups in the state that are still working as self-defense organizations and warned that they have to surrender themselves in a few months, in order to be subjected to a weapons evaluation according to the unified police command in the state in order to be integrated to the regular security forces.
