The Attorney General of the State of Mexico is investigating the recent bomb attacks against the Mexibus transportation system, which have been claimed by the so-called Pagan Sect of the Mountain.
Alejandro Gómez Sánchez, head of the agency, in a radio interview with Mexican commentator Joaquín López Dóriga, expressed that "we are working hand in hand with the Attorney General's Office and we are also checking facts with the National Investigation and Security Center, which follows these anarchist organizations."
According to Gómez Sánchez, it has been determined that a small group, probably a fork from a bigger organization, is responsible for the attacks.
Gómez Sánchez expressed that nine bombs were left in buses of the Mexibus system. Two of them did not explode.
"They are home-made artifacts made with a plastic recipient filled with a mix of liquid soap, diesel, and gasoline," he said.
Even so, the authorities of the State of Mexico have no reports on the Pagan Sect.
In regard to the reports of a person injured during the attacks, Gómez Sánchez expressed that a Mexibus driver burned his hand while trying to contain the fire, but he is not in danger.
