Relatives of Chilean ambassador to Mexico among Paris victims

A Chilean woman and her daughter, both relatives of Ambassador in Mexico Ricardo Núñez, are among the dead in the attack in the Bataclan concert hall last Friday in Paris.

According to reports from the Associated Press, 61-year-old Patricia San Martín Núñez and her daughter Elsa Véronique Delplace San Martin, 35, are among the dead.

Both attended the concert at the Bataclan with Elsa's five-year-old son, which according to the Chilean authorities managed to survive.

San Martín Núñez was exiled to Chile during the dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet and her daughter was born in France, according to the report.

In a statement, the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that they were the niece and grand-niece of the Ambassador of Chile to Mexico.
