Brazilian soccer club Sao Paulo announced the resignation of Colombian Juan Carlos Osorio, who will become the new head of the Mexican national soccer team.
A statement signed by Sao Paulo's president Carlos Miguel Aidar reported that Osorio presented his resignation in order to coach "El Tri" on the way to the FIFA World Cup 2018, to be held in Russia.
Hours earlier, Brazilian media announced that Osorio had left Sao Paulo.
It is expected that Osorio will be announced as new coach of Mexico within the next few hours.
