Destroyed homes, vehicles dumped like garbage, a destroyed highway and a clinic and school damaged are the results of the incursion of a remnant of hurricane Patricia in the municipality of Arteaga, in Michoacán.
The rain in the area caused rivers to reach their maximum capacity, and vehicles were dragged by sea-waters on the streets, with local residents left fearing for their lives.
In Las Juntas, in the municipality of Tierra Caliente, the health center was detached from the ground and a school disappeared in its entirety, while the federal highway Las Canas-Arteaga suffered severe damage.
Civil Defense Personnel is already providing aid for the victims and food and other goods are expected to arrive today.
