One dead and 16 injured in bus crash

The crash between a bus and a trailer left one killed and sixteen wounded on the La Tinaja-Cosamaloapan highway, near the downtown area of Veracruz.

The accident occurred at 6:00 a.m. when the bus, owned by the Cristobal Colón company crashed into the Kenworth trailer, loaded with silica sand.

The bus driver, identified as Manuel Hernández Centeno, died in the accident.

The other victims were taken to various healthcare institutions in the municipality of Córdoba, according to reports.
