Ten killed in trailer accident in Michoacán

Ten 10 people were killed, five of them children, as a result of the rollover of a trailer on the Siglo XXI Highway in the area of Puente de Ajuno, in the municipality of Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, according to the local and federal authorities. The driver of the trailer lost control and the vehicle fell from a bridge covered in flames, crashing over two vehicles and killing nine people in situ, while a child died while being taken to a hospital. Another child is in extremely serious condition. The trailer transported two containers filled with sports balls, and one of them fell from the bridge, while the other remained above, halting traffic for various minutes.
