Father-in-law of 'El Z-42' is arrested

Jesús Fernández Luna, father-in-law of Omar Treviño "El Z-42", was arrested today at the International Airport of Mexico City (AICM).

Fernández Luna was arrested pursuant to a warrant order issued by a judge in Mexico City, on charges of conspiracy and operations with illegal proceeds.

He also was designated in 2013 by the U.S. Department of the Treasury for drug trafficking activities for the violent cartel Los Zetas.

Omar Treviño's father-in-law was transferred to the Federal Social Rehabilitation Center #11 (Cefereso) in Hermosillo, Sonora.
