Brazilian star Ronaldinho said goodbye to Mexican soccer with an emotive message on social networks.
"I would like to thank the entire Mexican nation by the special days that I lived with you. You will always be in my heart!!!", wrote Ronaldinho on his Facebook account, at the end of his last season with Querétaro.
The soccer star played 25 games with the black and blue shirt of Gallos Blancos.
"Time to give thanks! I was touched by watching this video! Thanks, Mexico!!", added Ronaldinho, who published a video presenting his best moments in Mexican soccer.
The emotive farewell came eight days after he reached an agreement "in the best terms" with the club, to end their contractual relationship.
The 35-year-old player was dismissed from the Mexican club less than a year after his arrival, in September 2014. In this period, Querétaro managed to get to the top of the Mexican League after a turbulent start and the threat of descent.
"Gallos Blancos" began the tournament in the last places of the general ranking, but after the arrival of experienced coach Víctor Manuel Vucetich, Querétaro improved vastly.
In the meantime, Ronaldinho was criticized for his little activity on the court in spite of his yearly salary of US$1.8 million.
