This year the criminal group has murdered three businessmen who refused to pay an extortion fee, entrepreneurs said to EL UNIVERSAL on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals.

Rubén Oseguera González, 25, was born in California and is considered the financial leader of the CJNG.

Rubén Oseguera González, son of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, leader of the Jalisco New Generation cartel, had been arrested once before, but was released months later.

Out of the 42 killed members of the Jalisco Cartel, 36 are already with their relatives.
