El Museo de Textiles de Canadá presenta a Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) como un "ícono que sigue siendo una de las más revolucionarias e influyentes mujeres de la cultura moderna"

According to historian Laura González, the feminist movement, the suffering reflected in her surreal paintings and Frida's unique style contributed to turn her into an icon.

The exhibit, 'Frida Kahlo: Art, Garden, Life,' at The New York Botanical Garden includes 14 of Kahlo's original works, an evocation of the garden at her Mexico City home Casa Azul and plentiful photos from her life.
