Super Bowl LIV: 49ers TE George Kittle inspired by Mexican wrestler Pentagón Jr

Sometimes, people who are not familiar with Lucha Libre mock the sports-show because they think the whole performance is false, including the wrestling movements, but in the San Francisco 49ers , there is a football player who was inspired by a Mexican wrestler to move further on his career.

In April 2019 , the WWE held Wrestlemania 34 in which the 49ers tight end George Kittle was present as one of the thousands of fans who arrive in New Orleans to enjoy the Super Bowl of Lucha Libre .

It was in that year when the NFL star watched Pentagón Jr wrestle not once, or twice but six times and was amazed.

The personality of the Mexican wrestler on the ring fascinated Kittle. He was inspired by his strength and impetus and took it from the ring to the field, for, in the end, both sports share the quality of being physical and intimidating.

“I was two years in New Orleans for Wrestlemania . I saw him wrestle there in six different shows. It was amazing because in each one he showed the same energy . I loved his personality ,” said Kittle .

Each time Kittle makes a great move or a touchdown catch, he celebrates making a circle with the thumb and the index finger, known as the signal of " Zero Miedo " (zero fear). “Today’s zero fear signal has become a lifestyle . I’m very happy that such a great athlete, as he is, has adopted the signal as part of his celebrations,” said Pentagón Jr .
