On April 27, authorities confirmed Irma Eréndira Sandoval, the head of the Public Administration Ministry , had tested positive for COVID-19 on April 20.
However, it is unknown if Sandoval could have infected other high-ranking officials after she held a meeting with Finance Minister Héctor Herrera and Conacyt director María Elena Álvarez-Buylla on April 17.

The Public Administration Ministry informed that Sandoval is healthy and doesn’t have serious symptoms .
As soon as she was diagnosed, she isolated and she’s now working from home.
Once Sandoval Ballesteros is cured, she will return to work.
