The National Women’s Soccer Team has qualified for the first time in the World U-17 final after defeating the team from Canada 1-0 with a penalty goal by Nicole Pérez . The team will now play against Spain for the title at the Uruguay World Cup 2018 .
The first hazardous situation came 13 minutes into the game when Natalia Mauleon threw a strong kick in which the ball missed the football goal by a few inches. 23 minutes into the game, the Canadian defense lost the ball, which was stolen by Alison González .
38 minutes into the game, Jordyn Huitema scored a goal that was later invalidated by a foul by Teni Akindoju to Tanna Sánchez . During the second part of the game, on the minute 52, the Mexicans came close to scoring a goal by Silvana Flores with a long-distance kick.
