is the third most searched city to travel in Latin America, only after Lima and São Paulo , according to the flights and hotels meta-search engine Viajala .

In a statement, the company explained they analyzed trends , changes in preferences and the development of destinations in 2018, using over 47 million searches made by its users throughout Latin America.

is in the top 10 most sought-after international destinations in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

and hotel searches to the Mexican capital are made from cities with direct routes to our country.

The company explained that they developed an algorithm , the Barometer analyzes the price and search variation to understand which destinations are more attractive for the users.

The Manager of Viajala Mexico, Lise Vives said that " Mexico has enormous tourist attractions and it is becoming increasingly consolidated in the travel interests of Latin Americans ".

"At a time when the dollar price increases in most of the countries of the region, Mexico becomes a really attractive alternative; we see a great interest in the capital of our country and we hope this will translate into new routes to be more and more connected with the region, " she said.
