Artist Cosimo Cavallaro is building a wall in the Mexico-U.S. border using cheese blocks.
Cavallaro
explained the inspiration behind his cheese wall : “I don’t like walls. So this is a wall that I can handle, this is a wall I can live with, because this wall is a perishable, it will not last. The cheese is spoiled. It just means that for the regulations it’s not to be consumed.”
According to Artnet , the artist wants to explain how absurd is it to build a wall and spent millions on it, although the cheese wall is a motivational message.
Cosimo Cavallaro
is asking for donations to complete the wall through a GoFundMe campaign.
