In the context of the Conference on Prosperity and Security in Central America , the Secretary of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), José Antonio Meade , met with the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, Steven Mnuchin.

This is the fourth time both officials meet, but on this occasion, Meade invited Mnuchin to Mexico.

The Secretariat of Finance informed that the American Secretary accepted the invitation, but did not disclose the date in which he will come.

The SHCP announced that Meade and Mnuchin revised the relevance of mechanisms of bilateral cooperation , including the Bilateral Public-Private Working Group on Banking, the Strategic Dialogue on Illicit Finance and the Financial Services Committee.

For his part, Meade shared with Mnuchin the cooperation schemes used by Mexico with El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras , which include: border infrastructure, energetic connectivity, transportation, information exchange to support commerce and financial cooperation.
