Several government agencies will fine the company Heliservicio, S.A. de C.V. that owned the helicopter, as well as the pilot, that illegally landed on the Scorpion Reef National Park in the Yucatan coast on Monday, and which caused public outrage.

The Federal Civil Aviation Authority also temporarily suspended the pilot's license, who in addition may be fined around US$19,000 for failing to follow traffic control's instructions.

Among those on board the helicopter was Mexican senator Emilio Gamboa Patrón, who, together with other public servants and businessmen, were being transported to a luxury yacht where they held a private meeting.
