Clash at Topo Chico prison reported

Thursday morning a clash at the Topo Chico prison in the state of Nuevo León was reported, while the governor Jaime Rodríguez Calderón was about to give his annual report before the State Congress.

Topo Chico prison Chief of security Josafat Quiroga Mendoza reported that one person was killed and eight more were wounded in the clash. 

According to different media outlets, the injured were transferred to the Universitario Hospital.

Security forces as well as families of the inmates rushed to the prison.
