Peña Nieto greets Paralympic athletes at Los Pinos

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto praised the efforts and great performance of the athletes who participated at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

The president greeted the 69 athletes of the Mexican team at the Official Residence of Los Pinos, where he recalled that they won 15 medals: 4 gold, 2 silver and 9 bronze by competing with "great courage and commitment".

Mexico was ranked 29 at the medal table. 

The Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro were held from September 7-18, 2016.

The games started after the Rio 2016 Olympics and featured top athletes with a disability.
