Pumas defeats Chivas by a score of 1-0

The Pumas UNAM, now headed by coach Francisco Palencia, obtained a spectacular victory of 1-0 over Chivas Guadalajara, in their debut in the Apertura 2016 tournament.

Alejandro Palacios saved Pumas from a penalty shot by Carlos Peña 92 minutes into the game, sealing their victory.

Jair Pereira got an own goal 55 minutes into the match while fighting for the ball with Eduardo Herrera, and scored on his own goal-line apparently because he closed his eyes for some reason.
