Settlers from the Sierra Region of Guerrero that were removed by the Federal Police from the Del Sol highway after a protest just yesterday reported the disappearance of 100 people, among them Servando Salgado Guzmán, head of the Council of Transporters and Peoples of the Sierra.
His sister, María Eugenia Salgado Guzmán, accused Governor Héctor Astudillo of his disappearance and held him responsible for his integrity.
During a press conference, María Eugenia and representatives of the Council asked Interior Minister Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong for aid to the Sierra area, which they say "has been forgotten by the state authorities".
"I received a phone call from a code number different from Guerrero's, telling me that a so-called boss wanted to talk to my brother, that the boss ordered the murder of my brother. I fear that this order came from the Governor, because the only ones that have my number are people from the Office of the Attorney General of the State, the General Secretariat of Government and the private office of Governor Héctor Astudillo," she said.
She added that the organization is still unaware of his brother's whereabouts, as well as their colleagues and relatives.
