“Popo” spews 35 low-intensity exhalations

According to the last report of the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 35 low-intensity exhalations and 19 explosions in the last 24 hours.

A slight emission of steam and gas heading to the northeast, a low-intensity harmonic tremor, and a 1.4-magnitude volcano-tectonic event were also registered.

Incandescence over the crater was also observed at night.
