'Popo' spews 54 low-intensity exhalations

According to the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the surveillance system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 54 low-intensity exhalations and nine explosions during the last 24 hours.

Continuous emissions of steam and gas were observed.

In addition, 41 minutes of low-amplitude harmonic tremor were detected.

Slight incandescence over the crater was observed at night.
