Formal prison to alleged leader of the CJNG

A criminal court judge ordered the formal prison for Martín Navarro Escutia, "El Cebollón," an alleged leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, for damage and terrorism.

"El Cebollón," was arrested last Saturday in Querétaro by military, police and federal officers from the state of Guanajuato, and he is also being investigated by the assassination of the former mayor of Jerecuaro, Rogelio Sánchez Galán, last June.

In addition, he is linked to 14 cases of murder and kidnapping. Navarro Escutia is in a prison in the state of Guanajuato.
