The European Union (EU) will soon launch a project to promote partnerships between European and Mexican businesses in low greenhouse gas emissions activities in order to combat global warming, Andrew Standley, head of the EU Delegation to Mexico, said.
In an interview on the sidelines of the fifth Seminar of Euroclima, a regional cooperation program between the European Union and Latin America focused on climate change, he said that Mexico has a "huge economic potential" on issues related to climate change, sustainability and green economy.
"The project will start in the coming months and the idea is to identify possibilities and forge alliances among companies for low-emission activities," Stanley explained.
