The governor of Morelos, Graco Ramírez, expressed that it is not fair to hold the armed forces as responsible of the case of the missing students from Ayotzinapa, Guerrero.
In the official ceremony to remember the so-called Hero Children during the Mexican-American War in 1847, the governor spoke of the loyalty of the armed forces.
"We do not feel that it is fair that some interested parties are acting, like in recent cases in the state of Guerrero, where policemen at the service of criminals carried out a genocide against students from the rural school of Ayotzinapa and now they want to pretend that those responsible for this genocidal act are members of the armed forces. This is an unjust act," said Graco Ramírez.
The governor also asked for punishment for the policemen and criminals allegedly responsible for the disappearance of the students in September last year.
"Punish the police, punish the offenders, but don't be confused: the armed forces did not carry out acts of genocide," he said.
