Mexico's Attorney General's Office (PGR) seized over 126 kilos (227 pounds) of marijuana hidden in boxes containing ceramic tiles in Sonora.

Authorities arrested the two men carrying the drug on the Puerto Peñasco-Golfo de Santa Clara highway in a white truck with plates of the federal public service and also seized a Colt gun, three magazines and 51 rounds of ammunition.

According to the investigation the drug was distributed in 50 rectangular packages made with masking tape and black plastic. Each of the packages was placed in a hidden compartment in the boxes.
