The Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) lost eleven of the 14 delegations under its control, according to the results of quick count presented this morning by the Federal District Electoral Institute (IEDF).

Morena won in five delegations; the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) in three; and the National Action Party (PAN) in one. Mario Velázquez, president of the IEDF, said that there is a tie in Álvaro Obregón, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztacalco and Miguel Hidalgo among Morena, PRD and PAN.

The PRD retained power in Coyoacán, Iztapalapa and Venustiano Carranza while Morena had the lead in Azcapotzalco, Cuauhtémoc, Tláhuac, Tlalpan and Xochimilco, where the Aztec sun was relegated to third place.

At 00:28 hours it looked like the PRI could retain power in Cuajimalpa and win in Magdalena Contreras and Milpa Alta.

Until 01:00 hours on Monday 44% of the votes had been counted, with a participation of 41.4% of Mexico City registered voters.
