The President is ready to auction luxury cars

We've been told that President López Obrador is getting confused with the issue regarding the auction of assets seized from criminals . First, the President had pledged the money obtained from a l uxury car auction, which will take place on Sunday, to use it on a campaign against addiction . Nevertheless, he changed his mind yesterday and announced he will allocate the money to the poorest community in Mexico . We've been told that there are seized assets and money that could be used to finance some of the President's programs , nevertheless, there should be transparency about the destiny of the money because even though they are large sums of money, it won't be enough to fulfill the promises made by the President, especially if he announces new programs every week.

Risky business at the PRI

We've been told that several PRI members are impressed by all the activities carried out by the party's General Secretary, Arturo Zamora, who won't stop organizing “ regional meetings ” to support the contenders to the PRI leadership . Nevertheless, some PRI members see these actions as a clash between two groups. We've been told that with these meetings, who seem impartial , the PRI leader is looking to stay as a high-ranking official within the political party and keep the National Confederation of Popular Organizations by naming someone close to him as its new leader. Arturo Zamora is allegedly betting all his political capital and future to Alejandro Moreno, the Governor of Campeche . There would be nothing wrong with this bet if Zamora wasn't a PRI leader because there's a risk of another candidate complaining.

Uncertainty among business leaders

Everybody wants to know what will be the business leaders' message to President López Obrador this week, during the National Industrial Convention . We've been told that members from this body, led by Enoch Castellanos, want legal certainty and equality to carry our investments, as they agree that there is uncertainty surrounding the business sector . Alfonso Romo , the President's Chief of Staff , will be the President's envoy and who 2,000 business leaders want to listen to, in hopes of getting a clearer panorama for their businesses .

The INE vs. TV networks

The National Electoral Institute is feuding with Televisa and Tv Azteca in Puebla . Yesterday, the head of the INE , Lorenzo Córdova, said both TV networks “didn't fulfill their democratic commitment, they weren't up to the task, as they were in 2018 , broadcasting the presidential debates .” Lorenzo Córdova criticized both networks after they decided not to broadcast the debate between the contenders to the Puebla election . Nevertheless, we've been told that the TV networks decided to turn their back on the INE after it didn't maintain an equilibrium in official TV and tolerated their non-compliance to broadcast electoral spots. They add that it's more serious that official TV stations refused to broadcast the debate than the refusal of private television networks since it could be used as an argument to question the election .
