On Twitter, Mexico's Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in Spanish: "Mexico's Government to sent aid to Puerto Rico which was affected by Hurricane Maria. "

According to a press release issued by Mexico's Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the Mexican government will send about 30 tons of bottled water and mosquito repellent along with a Federal Electricity Commission brigade to help evaluate and mitigate the damage caused by María .

“The Mexican government reiterates its condolences to the families that suffered human and property losses as a result of the hurricane and expresses its solidarity with the people of Puerto Rico in the wake of this natural disaster,” the statement concluded.
