The judge who punished Raúl Salinas

We've been told that magistrate Ricardo Ojeda Bohórquez might get lucky since the magistrate has been struggling for years. We've been told that he was vetoed by the PRI and PAN, which for many years prevented him from becoming a counselor at the federal judiciary. One of the cases that resulted in this veto dates back to when he was a judge and sentenced Raúl Salinas de Gortari to 50 years in prison, as he considered Salinas was responsible for the murder of José Francisco Ruiz Massieu. Now, during a new government, it seems like he might be lucky. We've been told that he has good chances of occupying one of the available positions at the Judiciary Council.

López Obrador and Salinas ignore each other

Yesterday, President López Obrador flew from Tijuana to Mexico City and we've been told that Raúl Salinas de Gortari was on the same plane. Raúl Salinas de Gortari is the brother of Carlos Salinas de Gortari, a former Mexican President who López Obrador usually accuses of being part of the “power mafia” and who doesn't live in Mexico. We've been told that President López Obrador and Raúl Salinas saw each other but didn't greet each other.

Father Solalinde supports his candidate

We've been told that Father Alejandro Solalinde has taken his CNDH candidate, Elizabeth Lara Rodríguez, to the senate. We've been told that after introducing her to President López Obrador, Solalinde also took her to a meeting with the president of the human rights commission in the Senate, Kenia López Rabadán, PAN, to introduce them and tell her that Elizabeth Lara has all the necessary credentials to succeed Luis Raúl González Pérez. We've been told that Father Solalinde has arranged meetings with Morena senators so that Lara is included among the candidates and becomes the chosen one, especially with the issue on gender equality, although we've been told that this time, it doesn't matter if the new head of the CNDH is female or male.

Women debate about migration

We've been told that during the UN's last General Assembly, Minister Marcelo Ebrard expressed Mexico's position as a feminist government and following this commitment with gender equality, the Forum of Migrant Women from Mexico and the World starts tomorrow in Chicago, led by mayor Lori Lightfoot, the first woman to govern this city, who also represents the Afro American community and the LGBTQIA community. The event is organized by Mexico's consulate in Chicago and the Foreign Ministry's Cultural Diplomacy office. The event will be attended by academics, intellectuals, and other women such as ambassador Martha Bárcenas, Luz Elena Baños, Marina Núñez, Rebeca Grynspan, Brenda Lozano, Sara Uribe, Silvia Goldman, Oriette Dángelo, Stephanie Manríquez, Anabayuleti Gamboa, among others.
