Internet users everywhere will be able to visit the colorful and rich rows of the Central de Abastos (Wholesale Food Market) of Mexico City through the virtual tours of Google Maps, scheduled to launch during the second semester of 2018.
After the agreement entered into between this wholesale market and Abasto en Línea, on the one hand, and company Mexico Business View, Google Street View Trusted, on the other, this technological tool will offer tours across the 327 hectares and eight sectors comprising the venue.
Moreover, through the Google platforms, users will be able to locate shops and stands online, in this virtual experience featuring panoramic views in which over 15,000 products are traded every day.
The agreement seeks to increase client's trust in the platform Abasto en Línea by helping them find aisles and shops more easily.
In addition to the 500,000 physical visitors to the wholesale food market, this tool also aims to attract customers online, boosting e-commerce.
The Central de Abastos will be the world's pioneer in offering this type of services through Google Chrome, Google Street View, Google Earth, and Google Maps .
