After battling his cocaine addiction and converting to Catholicism , the former reporter claimed he had left homosexuality behind and now dictates conferences where he explains how he became heterosexual through God and religion .
His criticism towards the LGBTTQQIAAP community , the promotion of his conferences , and his claims that homosexuality can be “left behind” have sparked endless feuds on social media.
On May 29, in a now-deleted tweet , Clark announced there would be an ex-gay march , also known as f reedom march , in Mexico soon:
“Very soon, sooner than you can imagine, we will carry out the first EX-GAY march in Mexico . That day, many will realize that thanks to God , because it is thanks to him and it is necessary and through your own initiative, to receive therapeutic help (sic), that you can leave a homosexual life behind.”

Mauricio Clark
later revealed that Twitter had deleted his comment and criticized the social media platform for not taking measures against the attacks and criticism aimed at him since he claimed homosexuality can be left behind through therapy .
