Modelo curvy arremete contra Victoria's Secret por no incluir a mujeres de tallas grandes

A finales del año pasado, la modelo plus size, Ashley Graham causó polémica por arremeter contra la firma Victoria's Secret y mencionar que hasta ese entonces – y obviamente hasta la fecha – la marca no contrataba modelos tallas extras en sus desfiles y que, por lo tanto, incitaba al famoso ' body shaming '. Fue tal el escándalo que la modelo subió un fotomontaje usando las alas de la reconocida marca de lencería.

Sin embargo, es hasta este año que otra modelo plus size critica duramente Victoria's Secret por no incluir modelos curvilineas en su casting. Esta vez se trata de Robyn Lawley quien, según la edición mexicana de Harper's Bazaar , está pidiendo un boicot en contra de esta marca y su casting “discriminatorio”.

A través de Instagram , la modelo – y la primer mujer de talla grande en aparecer en publicaciones deportivas – realizó una petición a VS para ser más inclusiva.

En el mensaje, Lawley delcaró que VS “ha dominado el espacio durante casi 30 años diciendo que las mujeres solo tienen un tipo de cuerpo hermoso” y añadió: “Hasta que VS se comprometa a representar a TODAS las mujeres en el escenario, pido un boicot a la edición de este año de Victoria's Secret. Es hora de que VS reconozca el poder de la compra y la influencia de las mujeres de todas las edades, tallas, tamaños y etnias.”
