The approval rate of President Enrique Peña Nieto fell compared with the previous survey and the number of those who disapprove his performance rose by seven points.
Last March, 56% of the population disapproved his performance compared to 63% in the most recent survey conducted by El Universal and Buendía & Laredo.
Also, the percentage of the participants who approve his performance went from 32% in March 2016 to 29%.
According to the quarterly national survey, conducted from June 24 to 28, the percentage of the population who neither approves nor disapproves the president's performance dropped from 11% to 8% between March and this month.
The participants said that structural reforms are the worst that President Peña Nieto has done so far (17%), followed by the failure to fight crime (9%), the clashes in Oaxaca between police forces and teachers and the bad governance and lack of control, both with 5%, as well as the country's economic crisis (3%).
Murders were mentioned by 3% of the participants, followed by the disappearance of the 43 teachers in training of Ayotzinapa and the lack of new jobs (both 2%).

As for the best actions undertaken by the President, 51% of the participants said nothing, followed by social programs (12%); reforms (8%); good public works (5%) and with 1% each: promoting employment, fighting insecurity, scholarships and expanding the Program 65 and building and updating hospitals.
Also the percentage of the population that thinks that the country is going the wrong way increased from 56% to 67%, while those who believe that the country is on the right track dropped from 23% to 16%.
Participants were asked whether they believe President Enrique Peña Nieto has the country's problems under control. The percentage of those who think that problems have overwhelmed him went from 77% to 84%, compared with the previous survey.

Similarly, those who think that President Peña Nieto has all problems under control all decreased from 17% to 13% compared to three months ago.
When asked if Mexico is worse since President Peña Nieto took office, 58% said that the country is somehow/a lot worse, compared with 49% in the previous survey.
