Mexican politician Ricardo Monreal shared on his Facebook account the discovery of an eavesdropping device that recorded audio and video in his office as head of the Cuauhtémoc district in Mexico City.

According to Monreal, the reported the device to the authorities in Mexico City.

The artifacts found are a generic microcamera without manufacturer's specifications, three microphones of medium-range, and a homemade power supply.

According to experts, the device was active when it was removed.
