A series of clashes have shaken the town of Antunez, in Parácuaro, Michoacán, since the morning, with no reports so far of deaths or injuries.
However, the shootings have caused panic among the population of this town in the area of Tierra Caliente.
The mobilization of the federal and state forces have failed to prevent the shootings and just a few minutes before 12:00 p.m. another one, which lasted about 40 minutes, blasted in the streets, according to the local authorities.
The locals consider that the clashes are because a power struggle between rival gangs for the control of the territory.
