Nine killed in combat in Tamaulipas

Members of the multi-agency Fuerza Tamaulipas killed nine presumed criminals near the area of San Apolonia, in the municipality of Río Bravo.

The Tamaulipas Coordination Group (GCT) reported that in the evening of July 25, a convoy of Fuerza Tamaulipas was on patrol when they met armoured civilians on board different vehicles, who attacked them and tried to escape.

The officers responded and killed nine criminals, one of them found inside a vehicle.

Nine long weapons, cartridges, bullets, tactical equipment and other things were found in the vehicles. It was all put under the jurisdiction of the federal authorities.
