With an investment of over 250 million dollars, Coca Cola Femsa opened a new bottling plant in Tocancipá, Colombia, that will create 450 new direct and indirect jobs.
"The new plant of soft drinks is part of Femsa Industrial Park which consists of a cluster of five companies that will produce the drinks and has an area of about 30 hectares," the company said in a statement.
The industrial complex has two production lines with a capacity of 75 million unit cases a year. A third line will be added on July this year for the second phase of the project.
"We are proud to inaugurate this plant. It is another example of the commitment of our company the country," John Santa María, CEO of Coca Cola Femsa, said.
