"La geografía del antiguo del antiguo barrio de San Pablo está casi olvidada y apenas se recuerda que ahí se encontraba, casi en los márgenes de la traza, hacia San Antonio Abad, el matadero para las reses y el rastro de San Antonio para la carne de carnero, o bien la capilla de San Lucas, donde los matanceros y empleados del rastro se reunían para rezar", dijo la historiadora Gabriela Sánchez Reyes.
