Aiming to profit from new startup companies in Latin America and continue to support small entrepreneurs and investors in the region, Google has announced the launch of its Launchpad Accelerator program in Mexico.

Through a press release, the American multinational technology company commented that the program was meant to help startups create new products and attractive technologies with social impact throughout the region.

It should be noted that the Launchpad Accelerator program has already been implemented in countries such as Israel, Nigeria, and Brazil . Now, the program will start in Mexico City to pave the way for technology innovation by empowering small businesses.

As a first step, the technology company will work alongside 10 startup companies to face technological challenges in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Android systems, the Google Cloud Platform, and web solutions .

The duration of the Launchpad Accelerator in Mexico is three months, during which Google will offer continuous technical support to contribute to the development of specific projects that are to be defined at the start of the program.

Furthermore, employees will be able to consult with a group of mentors composed of Google and IT experts . They will also be given early access to some of the company’s newest technologies and USD$20 thousand in credits to purchase Google products .

Registrations for the program’s first edition will remain open until March 15 through Google Developers ’ official website .

The startups chosen will be announced on March 21 and will start working with Google on April 29 .
