December Carnival dazzles Mexico City

The Mexico City Carnival was conducted for the first time on December 6, 2014 . Now, for the fourth time, organized by the Mexican ‘Carnavaleros’ Friends of Villa and Zapata A.C. , the carnival will offer live concerts, dancers, mariachis, and chinelos who will guide the tour and invite bystanders to join the celebration in dance and song.

Aiming to promote the preservation of cultural expressions that are representative of Mexico, such as certain types of music, dance, traditional clothing, and gastronomy, the 2018 Mexico City Carnival will offer a heart-warming experience for locals and foreigners alike.

The event started at 09:00 hours , departing from the Angel of Independence . The carnival will end at the city’s Zócalo (main square).

Although it is a long walk, attendants are advised to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as well as water bottles to stay hydrated.
