On its first night of transmission, Imagen Televisión was the third most watched network during the prime time spot in the Mexico City Metropolitan area, according to figures released by HR Media.
During the 10 – 11 pm broadcast, Imagen Television's news program, hosted by Ciro Gómez Leyva, earned 1.3 ratings points, while Televisa's Noticiero 10 earned 5.7 and Azteca Noticias earned 9.3, making it the most watched for the night, according to HR Media's director, Rodrigo Gómez.
Gómez said that the network's results “have been very interesting since it launched its service at 9 pm last night.”
With regards to share, which is the percentage of television sets in use that are tuned to the program, Gómez said that Imagen Televisión secured a share of 15%. However, Televisa's Canal 5 beat out all other networks with a share of 35% after airing the popular series La Reina Del Sur (The Queen of the South).
