Blockades reported in Michoacán

A series of blockades have been reported in the municipalities of Los Reyes, Parácuaro and Buenavista Tomatlán, after officers from the Office of the State Attorney General of Michoacan began a search operation against a criminal.

The irruption of the Ministerial Police in Los Reyes was the cause of the blockades, allowing the unidentified criminal to escape with the aid of the locals.

The area, in the middle of the colder climates of the state and the mountains of the Tierra Caliente, has seen a series of blockades for the last few hours, without any strong reaction by the authorities, and with the locals confronting the Ministerial Police.

The second blockade, with vehicles on fire, was recorded in access bridge to the community of Buenavista Tomatlán, and according to Mayor Lorenzo Barajas Heredia, it is a continuation of the actions in Los Reyes.

Regarding the alleged arrest of Luis Antonio Torres "El Americano," leader of the armed group known as "H3," Barajas Heredia said that he had no information.

However, he called the locals to avoid participating in actions like hangings and burning cars.
